MY STORY

I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY29601) who provides individual psychotherapy  to children, adolescents and adults. In addition to private practice I consulted with the Lycée Francais de San Francisco. for a few years. I also have been teaching and supervising therapists in training in various agencies in the Bay Area (The Wright Institute Clinic, Psychological Services Center at Envision Schools,.San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis, Community Institute for Psychotherapy).
As a immigrant, I am sensitive to how differences impact the way we relate to ourselves and others.
I use a psychodynamic framework to think with you about the meaning of your struggles. In a nutshell, it means that I am interested in your life story and the way you talk about it. I believe that past relationships shape how we are in present ones, that we are not aware of certain of our motivations and that the therapeutic relationship is a lever for change.

ABOUT THERAPY

Entering into a therapeutic process can be compared to traveling to another country. Each experience is unique, it takes time to feel at home, and it’s often more fulfilling accompanied by a local.

SERVICES I OFFER

I provide services in English and  French.

I currently have openings for telehealth and in-person appointments.

PSYCHOTHERAPY WITH ADULTS

I believe that psychotherapy provides an opportunity to slow down and dig out an intimate space to attend to one’s thoughts and emotions. Working together, we can explore your roadblocks from different angles, transform them or create alternative paths. In my experience, there is often no easy and straightforward answer to one’s suffering, feeling of emptiness or confusion. Psychotherapy can offer the conditions for staying curious about the messiness of our complicated minds and develop more satisfying solutions. In this process, one may be able to unearth inner resources, tolerate limitations as well as increase flexibility and capacity to enjoy life.I tailor my interventions to your history, your environment and your goals. My style is approachable and playful while being thoughtful.

PLAY THERAPY WITH CHILDREN

Children express themselves through various modalities. In therapy, we use play as the medium to access their world and support them in developing new solutions to their difficulties. I work closely with each child's caregivers and consult with their school when needed.
